  • Mosquitos

    Tips for Preventing Mosquito Bites

    • Dump out standing water near your home, as mosquitos can breed in just 14 days using a small amount of water (in a flower pot, gutter, bird bath, etc.). Adding mosquito-eating fish to water sources also helps.
    • Keep mosquitos outside using a combination of screens, AC, and mosquito nets.
    • Use mosquito repellent. The most effective ones contain DEET insecticide, which is safe when used as directed (for pregnant women, nursing women, and babies over 2 months).
    • Wear light-colored clothing outdoors. Mosquitos are attracted to colors like black, deep blue, and red. Additionally, thicker fabrics and loose-fitting clothing are more protective than tight clothing.
    • Stay indoors during dawn and dusk, which is when mosquitos feed.
  • Rodents

Rodents reproduce rapidly and are attracted to sources of food in your home. Crumbs, trash, and dry goods like grain/cereal are popular sources of infestation. Keep these items sealed to avoid contamination. Additionally, fruits and vegetables should be stored and disposed of properly.

Rodents also like cardboard, as it is prime material for chewing and nesting. Seal openings in your cardboard to prevent entry and reentry. Getting rid of rodents that are already in your home or place of business is tricky. Luckily, Synergy Pest Management provides completely unique treatment programs that assess, treat, and maintain the issue.

  • Bed Bugs

Bed bugs are troublesome pests that can be sneaky, hard to find, and hazardous to your health. Using our experience and state-of-the-art equipment, our team can help assess your bed bug problem and provide a unique solution. Home remedies won’t do the trick. Leave it to the professionals at Synergy Pest Management to assess your home, implement a solution, and monitor activity after the fact.

  • Cockroaches

Cockroaches are oftentimes thought to be the result of poor housekeeping. Although cleaning your floors, kitchen, and bathrooms can reduce food sources that attract cockroaches, they can get inside and infest your property for a variety of reasons; cockroaches can enter your home through cracks, gaps, drains, pipes, and even lights. Keeping cockroaches out of your property is an ongoing process that involves three crucial steps: assessment, treatment, and maintenance.

  • Ants

Ant infestations can be the result of poor sanitation. Leaving dirty dishes in the sink, food on the countertops, and crumbs on the floor can invite ants to infest your home or place of business. It begins with a few foragers, then establish colonies. Our technicians will work with you to create a personalized ongoing treatment plan that addresses three steps: assessment, treatment, and maintenance.

  • Spiders

You can protect your home from spiders by removing any webbing you find (inside and out), installing tight-fitting window screens and door sweeps, sealing cracks and crevices with caulk, and removing firewood, building materials, and debris from your foundation. If your home is infested with spiders, we can create a unique treatment plan for your property that follows three critical steps: assessment, treatment, and maintenance.

  • Stinging Insects

Bees and hornets put more than 500,000 people in the ER every year. They are especially active during the end of summer and the beginning of fall. This is when their colonies are out foraging for food to sustain their queen during the winter.
